About Will Barratt, Ph.D.

Formal Education:

Dr. Barratt has an education balancing the liberal arts tradition (History and Philosophy at Beloit College) with doctoral work in the dustbowl of empiricism (The University of Iowa). He has an ever growing knowledge base and skill set.

"First learn within the paradigm, then work to change the paradigm, balancing old and new, evolution and revolution. Nothing of substance was ever accomplished by a reasonable person and nothing lasting was ever accomplished alone."

Work Experience:

Dr. Barratt has been full time faculty, Associate Dean, adjunct faculty, distance education faculty, manager, program coordinator, full time consultant, part time consultant, board member, committee member, committee chair, volunteer.

"Work is one way to bring about what I value in the world - learning and community."

Consulting Experience:

Dr. Barratt continues to provide process consultations with individuals, groups, boards, employees and managers.  He designs, conducts and evaluates custom training programs, and provides expert consulting in developing assessment tools to meet specific needs, and developing program evaluations and implementation strategies to enhance program quality.

"Consulting is helping people learn to work better. It's about being on the same side of the table and solving problems that matter."

Training Experience:

Dr. Barratt has extensive experience in designing delivering and evaluating workshops, classes, tutorials and individual supervision.

Life Experience:

Dr. Barratt has lived and worked in six US states, in Austria, Hungary and China.
